Background:

Audrey McLoghlin, founder and chief executive of Frank & Eileen, has launched a new foundation aimed at expanding opportunities for women in business by investing in entrepreneurship education for young girls and aspiring female leaders.

The newly established Frank & Eileen Foundation begins with an initial contribution of 1 million US dollars from the Los Angeles-based womenswear brand, which is a 100 percent woman-owned and B Corp-certified company. The initiative reflects the brand’s continued commitment to supporting women in leadership and encouraging more women to build businesses of their own.

The foundation plans to create programs that help young people develop an entrepreneurial mindset. The goal is to improve access to entrepreneurship education and encourage more women to explore leadership and innovation.

According to the company, the initiative will also examine new ways to expand and amplify entrepreneurial education so that more girls and women can benefit from learning opportunities that prepare them for business leadership.

The launch of the foundation builds on the company’s earlier philanthropic commitment through its 20 million US dollar Giving Pledge. The pledge was first announced in 2020 with a commitment to donate 10 million US dollars over ten years.

The funding will support fellowships, startup accelerators, incubators, and the creation of a Center for Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership at a leading university in the United States. The company confirmed that the new foundation will operate as a separate nonprofit entity while continuing to support the broader mission.

Speaking about the initiative, McLoghlin said entrepreneurship remains one of the most powerful tools for driving positive change, particularly for women. She said that giving more people access to strong entrepreneurship education can inspire future leaders and create opportunities for many generations.
